Publication ethics

The editors and contributors of the journals and series published by Rosenberg & Sellier conduct their work in accordance with the ethical principles shared by the international academic community.
In order to answer any doubts or questions that may arise during the selection and revision of texts, the publishing house has drawn up the following guidelines inspired by the recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

GENERAL DUTIES
Editors and editorial boards are responsible for the selection of materials published in journals. They strive to ensure that publications meet the needs of authors and readers and to improve the quality of journals and series. The editors, supported by the editorial boards, are guarantors of the validity of the published work, respect for freedom of expression and the correctness of the treatment of personal data.

DUTIES OF THE REVIEWERS
The reviewer assists the editorial team in the process of evaluating articles within the prescribed timeframe. The review must be conducted objectively and with clear and documented arguments. The reviewer must not accept manuscripts in which he or she has conflicts of interest arising from competition, collaboration, or other connections with authors, companies, or entities related in any way to the subject of the manuscript.
The reviewer is responsible for identifying the presence of bibliographic material relevant to the work being evaluated but not cited, and for indicating to the authors any improvements that might be useful in publishing the content. Articles considered for evaluation must be treated as confidential documents. They should not be shown to or discussed with anyone without prior authorisation from the editorial board.

RELATIONSHIP WITH READERS
All published papers will clearly and fully state the bibliographic sources used for the research. Editors will also disclose the funding bodies of the journals. Editors will ensure that selected manuscripts are peer-reviewed and will disclose the process used to ensure objective evaluation of manuscripts.

RELATIONSHIP WITH AUTHORS
The choice of texts to be published will be based exclusively on their scientific quality, originality, clarity of exposition, relevance to the journal that will host them and to the specific theme set out in the possible call for paper. The editorial board will inform the authors of the characteristics to which the articles must conform and the relative editorial rules. If the authors explicitly request it, the editorial board will also be available to explain the reasons for non-acceptance.

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE EDITORS
Editors are committed to protecting the confidentiality of materials proposed for publication, to overseeing the existence of conflicts of interest, and to protecting the identity of reviewers and authors in the case of blind and double-blind peer reviewing. Editors also undertake not to submit their work for peer review during the duration of their assignment.

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE EDITOR
The relationship between the editors and the publisher will be characterised by independence. The choice of work to be published will be based on criteria of quality and sustainability for journals without interference from the publisher.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND OPENNESS TO DEBATE
Editors and publishers will cooperate with the publisher in order to avoid plagiarism and infringement of intellectual property. Scientific debate is encouraged by guaranteeing the right of reply to authors of papers that have been criticised and by being prepared to publish contributions that challenge previous articles or papers.
